Nicole Koteff is a detail-oriented litigator with nearly 20 years of experience, who has created a practice devoted almost exclusively to defending real estate professionals and their brokerages.
Her practice at Brauti Thorning focuses on professional regulation in the real estate sphere. Prior to joining the firm, Nicole spent 7 years as In-House Legal Counsel for the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO), where she prosecuted real estate agents, brokers and brokerages. After leaving RECO, Nicole was chosen for the newly-created role of General Counsel for the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board. In addition to holding positions on both the regulatory and the association sides of professional real estate, Nicole also holds a designation as a Real Estate Broker with the mid-town office of a major Canadian brokerage. This direct involvement in the industry provides added insight to her representation of other real estate professionals when faced with allegations by RECO.
Nicole earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree as well as a Master of Industrial Relations degree from Queen’s University. She then graduated from Law School at the University of Western Ontario.
Nicole is often retained as an expert witness on real estate disputes and is a ferocious protector of her clients’ rights.
