Peter Zywot is an Associate who practices in the areas of corporate and commercial law, real estate, wills and estates, and regulatory and administrative law.
As part of the Corporate and Finance Practice Group, Peter's practice focuses on advising businesses of all sizes on corporate, commercial and regulatory matters, including acquisitions, divestitures, financings, lending, and real estate, and employment matters.
Peter is also a member of the Firm's Food and Beverage Law Group, where he counsels both new and existing businesses in the food and beverage industry on general business and regulatory matters, including assisting with their initial set-up and organization, obtaining Liquor Sales Licences, and achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance. Peter also represents clients before the Licence Appeal Tribunal for Liquor Sales Licence infractions.
Peter obtained his B.A. in Political Science from McMaster University, his J.D. from Bond University in Australia and his LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law from the University of Oregon. Before joining Brauti Thorning, his practice focused on environmental and real estate law. Prior to these legal endeavours, Peter worked for the United Nations Environment Programme in New York as part of the Intergovernmental Policy Coordination team. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2013.
